Wedding Card for Ms. Gordon....I mean Mrs. Hart

Sara's teacher, Ms. Gordon, was married in March. Now she is Mrs. Hart and I can't ever remember to call her by her new name! Anyway, I made her a card to congratulate her and her husband on the wedding. I used a new stamp set that I got for free when I went to Leadership this January. Isn't it just beautiful??!!

This is a card we will be making at my stamp night on Thursday. I try to make them fairly easy to make, without too much cutting or labor. This card uses the Just Beachy set from the mini catalog and Three Thoughts which is from a Simply Sent card kit.

Stamp Night at my Clubhouse!

Once a month, my upline, Beckie, and I host a stamp night at the clubhouse in my neighborhood. We usually have 5 or 6 different cards to make, plus a 12x12 scrapbook layout to do also. Beckie is going to be moving in a few months to Arizona, so it's still up the air whether I will continue the stamp night on my own or not. I don't know if I can do this by myself! So, we will see!!

These are 3 of the cards our customers can make tonight.
Have a good evening and thanks for stopping by!

Thoughts and Prayers

I love the new stamp set "Thoughts and Prayers". The only thing that is wrong with it is that is double mounted. I think enough have people complained to Stampin Up about double mounting stamps, so they said they wouldn't do that anymore except on alpha sets.
Anyway, I made a card today using this set and I really like the way it turned out. I love Perfect Plum and So Saffron together. So pretty!
Thanks for stopping by!

Teacher Appreciation Gift

This week is teacher appreciation week, so I decided to make a wall hanging for Sara's kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Sparkman. She is such an awesome teacher!! The size is 9 3/8 x 9 3/8. I used the paper & ribbon from Sale-a-Bration. It's not too fancy, but I only decided this afternoon to make it so I haven't had a lot of time to think about it. I think Mrs. Sparkman will like it.
Thanks for stopping by!

Granpa's Birthday

My Father-in-law's birthday is on Saturday, so I made a card for the girls to send to him. I decided to use my All In The Family set. I just love these cute little stick figures!! It took me about 30 minutes to stamp the people on there, but I used my Stamp-a-majig on everything so I could get it all perfect. I love the Stamp-a-majig!! It makes for perfect placement everytime!!
Sara and Katy just had to help make the card, so I let them color the dresses. I'm too much of a perfectionist to let them do anything else!

Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you cards

My dear friend and upline, Beckie Carlson, lost her husband last Sunday. It was very sudden and unexpected. Beckie and Brad had been together for 20 years and have 6 children ages 7 - 16. They were best friends and loved each other so much. Beckie wrote a lovely tribute to her husband which you can read HERE.

My friend will be moving to Arizona in the coming months to be closer to her family. I will miss her so much. I will treasure our friendship always and only wish her the best.

I made Beckie some Thank You cards to help her out. I think they are simple, yet elegant and I hope she likes them.

Kristina's Color Inpsiration #48

I'm baaaack! I've kind of taken a break from the computer lately. Life has been a bit hectic, so something had to give!

Anyway, I wanted to make a thank you gift for the women who watches our dogs. She has a sweet little kennel on her property, and she was nice enough to let me bring the dogs today, even though it is Sunday and she is closed! We are staying the night at Universal Studios tonite, so hopefully we can start off this spring break with some fun and the kids can stop whining 24 hours a day.

I made a little treat pouch like this at Stampin Up Regionals in January. Super simple!! Basically just take a piece of cardstock 4" x 12". Score at 4", 5" and 9". Adhere together with sticky strip. Then you can decorate how ever you'd like. I filled a little bag with Easter chocolates and inserted in the middle. Cute! Thanks for stopping by!

recipe:
stamps: Man's Best Friend
paper: Parisian Breeze Specialy DSP, whisper white
ink: chocolate chip, Riding hood red
accessories: Kiwi Kiss ribbon, dimensionals

Botanical Blooms!

I have my monthly stamp-a-stack coming up this week. Beckie and I usually have 6 different cards to make plus a scrapbook layout. We try not to make the cards too labor-intensive. We want them to be able to get a lot made! This card uses the Sale-a-Bration set, Botanical Blooms. I made it so they can stamp whatever greeting they want. It could be an Easter, thank you, get well or a birthday card! And this also would be easy to jazz up by adding glitter, paper piercing or some cool rhinestone brads!

recipe

stamps: Botanical Blooms, A Good Egg
paper: Kraft, white, Red Riding Hood Red, Bella Rose DSP
ink: Kiwi Kiss, RRH Red
accessories: dimensionals, vintage brads

Color Inspiration #44

I received my FREE stamp set "On a Pedestal" the other day! This set will be in the Summer 2009 Stampin Up catalog. By attending the regional here in Orlando, I was offered this set if I had a $400 workshop within 2 weeks of the regional.

I've always loved these colors together! But, I had a hard time incorporating the Close to Cocoa with the Chocolate Chip. Here is what I finally came up with!

Thanks for stopping by!

Check out another cute sample of this set at my friend Beckie's site HERE!
