Puppy dogs!

Update April 3, 2010: My sweet 12 year old Cosmo was bit by a rattlesnake (yes, again!) on October 7th. He was in such bad shape, and not able to recover, so we chose to put Cosmo to sleep. That was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, besides having to watch my Dad die. I miss my little buddy everyday.

Cosmo - He is so gray now! He's old, but he still acts like a pup!

Here are some new photos of Cosmo and Spike. Cosmo will be 12 next month!! I've had him since he was 7 weeks old. Spike will be 1 in August.

Sara and Spike. He won't sit still long enough to have his picture taken.

Cowgirls!

Sara and Katy went to a summer camp program last week and Katy's preschool. It was a Cowboy theme all week and on Friday they were able to dress up like cowboys and cowgirls. Luckily, we had these vests and hats from a birthday party they went to last summer! They looked so cute! Although, once I took this photo, Katy took off her boots and said she didn't want to wear them. Oh, well. They were cowgirls who wore flip-flops!!

Flight of the (sage) Butterfly

Here is a card I made for my stamp night last week. I pretty much copied it off of the Stampin Up website for demonstrators. But, I just love how clean and simple this was. My friends who come to make cards love to have cute, easy to make cards. And this is easy!

card recipe:

stamps: Inspired by Nature, Flight of the Butterfly

paper: sage shadow, so saffron, very vanilla

ink: sage shadow, so saffron
accessories: 2-way glue, DD glitter, dimensionals

This is a card we will be making at my stamp night on Thursday. I try to make them fairly easy to make, without too much cutting or labor. This card uses the Just Beachy set from the mini catalog and Three Thoughts which is from a Simply Sent card kit.

This is a very funny 'literal video' from You Tube. Hit the pause button on my playlist on the right so my music isn't playing at the same time!

Steven's Graduation!

I had such a good time with my sister and nephews last weekend! I so wished we lived closer together, we would have a blast! Here are some photos from my nephews high school graduation from Center Grove High School in Greenwood, Indiana.

This is me, my sister Susan, Steven and my sister's husbands parents.

Another snake attack...

Well, I've been MIA, but for a good reason. I went to Ohio to see my sister and her family and then we went to go see my nephew, Steven, graduate high school in Indianapolis. It was so neat. I remember when he was so little, it seems like yesterday. He is such an awesome kid, I'm so proud of him! I have lots of photos, but I need to edit them first. Here is a photo of his last baseball game on Monday. His team won the sectionals, now they are off to regionals! This is Steven (in red & white) scoring the first run of the game!

Today, we had a little excitement when Cosmo attacked another snake in the back yard. This thing was HUGE! I was relieved to see it wasn't a rattlesnake, it was a corn snake. But it was still scary. I can't hardly get Cosmo away from these things once he sees them. He was really bleeding from his mouth, so I don't know if the snake bit him or maybe he bit his own tongue. He's fine now. But I just about had a heart attack this morning. I can't go thru another rattler bite, and neither can Cosmo.

Stamp Night at my Clubhouse!

Once a month, my upline, Beckie, and I host a stamp night at the clubhouse in my neighborhood. We usually have 5 or 6 different cards to make, plus a 12x12 scrapbook layout to do also. Beckie is going to be moving in a few months to Arizona, so it's still up the air whether I will continue the stamp night on my own or not. I don't know if I can do this by myself! So, we will see!!

These are 3 of the cards our customers can make tonight.
Have a good evening and thanks for stopping by!

Thoughts and Prayers

I love the new stamp set "Thoughts and Prayers". The only thing that is wrong with it is that is double mounted. I think enough have people complained to Stampin Up about double mounting stamps, so they said they wouldn't do that anymore except on alpha sets.
Anyway, I made a card today using this set and I really like the way it turned out. I love Perfect Plum and So Saffron together. So pretty!

Teacher Appreciation Gift

This week is teacher appreciation week, so I decided to make a wall hanging for Sara's kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Sparkman. She is such an awesome teacher!! The size is 9 3/8 x 9 3/8. I used the paper & ribbon from Sale-a-Bration. It's not too fancy, but I only decided this afternoon to make it so I haven't had a lot of time to think about it. I think Mrs. Sparkman will like it.

Granpa's Birthday

My Father-in-law's birthday is on Saturday, so I made a card for the girls to send to him. I decided to use my All In The Family set. I just love these cute little stick figures!! It took me about 30 minutes to stamp the people on there, but I used my Stamp-a-majig on everything so I could get it all perfect. I love the Stamp-a-majig!! It makes for perfect placement everytime!!
Sara and Katy just had to help make the card, so I let them color the dresses. I'm too much of a perfectionist to let them do anything else!

Thanks for stopping by!

Disney Cruise!

We arrived home today from our 7 night Disney cruise. It was wonderful! We went with Brian's friend Pam, her mom and a friend and Pam's 2 boys. The kids had the most fun swimming in the Mickey shaped pool and slide. The photo above is from Pirate night. We had an inside stateroom until the 2nd night when our bathroom flooded and they moved us to a bigger room with a verandah! The guest service lady even sent Sara and Katy these big Mickey pillows. I took a ton of photos, but I'll just post a few for now. I've got lots of laundry to do and I'm TIRED!!

Thanks for stopping by!!
