ballet and gymnastics

Every Wednesday, Katy has a dance class where she does tap, ballet and tumbling from 3 - 4pm. Then Sara has gymnastics from 4 - 5:30pm. They both really love the classes and have lots of fun. The teachers there are so nice. Here are some photos. In the first one, Katy is the 4th girl from the left. Ms. Kim is her teacher. The other photos are of Sara in her class. Sorry they are not too great, but I was taking them from far away.

I really hope to post some new stamping projects soon. I just got my brand new stamps and paper from the new catalog!! Now I just need to carve out some alone time to sit and play!

Katy's 4th Birthday...

Well, I made it back to the blog! Better late than never! Where does the time go? Oh I know.....laundry, kids screaming, dishes, more laundry, riding bikes with kids, dog's needing to go out, yet more laundry.....

Katy's 4th birthday was on Wednesday, Jan 21. We went to Disney World! Katy got in free for her birthday. It was ccccccold.....the coldest day of the year here. It was in the 30's in the morning, then warmed up to about 50 degrees. Which is really cold for Florida!! But, we bundled up and had a great time. We rode lots of rides and Katy got her picture with Mickey. This was a really big deal because this was the first time she would actually stand with the characters. (everytime we go to Universal, she chickens out at the last second and won't get her picture taken with the characters!) Mickey and Minnie kissed her and we sang Happy Birthday to her. They gave her an 'It's my Birthday' button to wear, so everyone was wishing her a happy birthday all day.

Sara and Katy had some money to spend so they bought really cute mickey mouse ears hats.

Thanks for stopping by! I PROMISE to post some more photos and stamp projects soon!!

some old (but good!) photos.....

What a bad blogger I am.....so much for my goal of posting everyday! I just haven't been able to find the time this week to get stuff done!! Anyway, here are some photos from last May of the shuttle lunch. We went over to the marina in Titusville to see it. Just amazing.....

I've got some photos of the kids from ballet and gymnastics to post. So hopefully I can get to that soon!

I am creating... stamp projects for my monthly rubber stamp class

I am going... to go to bed soon

I am reading... tonite, I'm reading blogs

I am hoping... my husband remembers our anniversary

Kristina's Inspiration #37

Here's my try at Kristina's color challenge. I made this super quick, so it's pretty easy. I used the retired rub-ons 'Love & Happiness'. The colors in this challenge are Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Baja Breeze & Whisper White. Now, I've got to go finish getting swaps ready for the Stampin Up Regional tomorrow. My upline is at Leadership here in Orlando and she has heard LOTS of great stuff! Like.....digital scrapbooking coming later this year! So, stay tuned!

Here's a close up of the card. I'm really lovin' the super-macro on my camera! Isn't it cool???!!

Face Painting and Swaps!

Monday was the kids last day of winter break, so I took them to Universal Studios for the day. I let them get their faces painted, and of course, I forgot my camera. So I took their pictures as soon as we got home. Sara is a princess and Katy is an angel.

I've got a card to share. I am going to the Stampin' Up! Regional Conference in Orlando on Saturday and this will be one of my swaps. For you non-stamping people, swaps are card fronts we make to 'swap' with other demonstrators to get lots of ideas and samples.

To get this super-cool close-up, I use the super-macro setting. Macro is the button with the tulip on it. If you hold the button in, it will give you super-macro. My camera has to be on a certain setting to use super-macro, so check out your camera's manual to see you if can super-macro, too!

Have a good evening! I'm going to go work on my swaps now!

Two-wheelin'

We took the training wheels of Sara's bike last weekend. Today she finally rode her bike all by herself. She did great!

I finished taking down the Christmas tree today. So sad....I just love Christmas! Although, I am glad to have my family room/kids play room/crafting room back. Here's Katy dressed up like a fairy in front of the naked Christmas tree.

And, last but not least, here is Sara laying on the couch with Spike. They were watching 'Horton Hears A Who'. Very cute movie! Spike is so good for the kids, he just gets carried around and hugged and squished by the kids and he doesn't mind a bit!

Have a good week! love, shari

Happy New Year!

Happy new year! I can't believe it's January 1st! I was outside today, taking down the Christmas lights (boo, hoo....I love the lights!), and the bees and butterflies were flying around the bottlebrush bush, so I had to go get my camera. I love seeing what they look like up close after I take the picture! It was so nice today, it finally cooled down a little and the temp today only hovered around 70 degrees. It had been so hot lately, not very winter-like at all. I know, I know, I should appreciate the weather here in Florida, but I just love the winter time!

Hope you all have a wonderful and prosperous 2009!
