Decor Elements in Katy's room

I just love the new Decor Elements vinyl art from Stampin Up! These are sooooo easy to put up, and they add so much to a room. You must check them out! Have a look at the catalog by clicking HERE!

I bought the Ginormous Flowers awhile back, and decided to put them up yesterday. It took me about 3 hours total. They come on a roll, and each color is on a separate sheet, so I had to cut out the flowers and decide how to layer them and then finally put them on the wall. SO FUN!


Here is a look at Katy's room before. Please pay no attention to the mess and dead flowers on top of her dresser!

Katy in the bath

I took this photo last month one evening when Katy was in the bath. Spike likes to look in there and see what's going on!

The photo isn't that great beacause the lighting in the bathroom isn't very good. I would LOVE to have a new, fancy Nikon SLR camera, they take AWESOME photos! But, alas, they are about $400 and I just don't think we can splurge on that right now. So, I'll have to keep it on my wish list. BUT, I do have a birthday coming up in a few months. hint, hint : )

It is sooooo beautiful today! The weather has just been awesome. It is about 70 degrees today. Its cool at night and in the morning. Just perfect! It won't be long and it will be hot, hot, hot all day, so I'm just soakin' in this wonderful, cool weather while it is here!

Kristina's Color Inspiration Challenge #42

The colors for Kristina's color inspiration challenge this week are Really Rust, More Mustard, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White. Now, for some reason I am completely out of mustard paper, so I found some summer sun in the Pink Flamingo DSP that I thought would work well!

I totally cased this card from a couple I saw on Splitcoast, I really needed some inspiration for a card to do at my stamping night tomorrow. With relatives in town last weekend and my daughter sick, I've run out of time!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #5

It's time for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Here is my card using the new Sale-A-Bration paper Delicate Dots and also the celery ribbon from the SAB ribbon bundle. This was super easy & quick to make!

Katy's Valentines

I made these Valentines for Katy to give to her friends at school. She just loves it when I make her stuff! They are about business card size. I used the 3-heart punch to punch out hearts out of the Stampin Up Candy Lane DSP and adhere them to the front. Then just stamped the hearts and sentiment on the inside. Easy-peasy!!

I've got to go clean house now, Brian's Dad, step-mom and brother are coming tonite. And Brian has been out of town all week for a sales conference in Dallas!

afternoon at the park

The other day after school, I took the kids to Chain of Lakes park. It was 47 degrees....pretty chiller here in Florida, especially with the wind blowing. We didn't stay very long, but I did get to take some photos.

Baby shower gift bag

Today I was checking out some blogs and found out Nichole Heady is giving away a $100 gift card for Papertrey Stamps. All you have to do is enter the contest with an altered bag of any kind. Well, I needed to make a baby shower gift bag anyway, so I thought I would play along!

Now, I know these are not your usual baby colors, but we are in Florida and I just love the flamingo on the yummy new Stampin Up Pink Flamingo DSP! Anyways, I think my friend will like it!

Spike

This is our puppy Spike. He is about 7 months old now and weighs about 10 lbs. Last week he was neutered, and it didn't slow him down a bit. He chews on everything and likes to poop under the dining room table. He is so incredibly soft and cuddly, and once he tires out he will just lay in your lap. Sara carries him around and plays with him alot. Thank goodness they don't try and dress him up in doll clothes or something. But, I don't think he would sit still long enough for that.
